We are now in the middle of reviewing all audition submissions and making final casting choices for our 2024 season. We will be announcing all casts no later than March 1st, 2024.

FOR AUDITIONS:
 Please read the information below and carefully follow directions when submitting for an audition - all in-person auditions must have an appointment set up in advance.

CDA Summer Theatre is a professional musical theatre that hires local, regional, and national talent. All roles and positions are paid.

Special Notes for the 2024 Season:

  • One AEA contract could be considered for the role of Tveye, no other AEA contracts are available at this time.
  • No roles have been pre-cast. All roles are available to auditioners
  • Auditions for performers ages 8-15 will be held later in the spring
  • We are not auditioning children under the age of 8

Audition Options

We strongly advise auditioning in-person if at all possible.

 

In-person auditions (Coeur d'Alene):
  • General Auditions: January 20th & 21st (Ages 16+)
  • Ages 8-15: Spring TBA

Virtual auditions: 
  • Accepted until January 21st 

*We have a special in-person audition for out-of-town college students who are back home on holiday break on Thursday December 28th.

To signup for an in-person audition you will need:

  • A show resume in PDF format with your file labeled: Last Name-First Name-Show Resume
  • A headshot in PNG or JPG format with your file labeled: Last Name-First Name-Headshot
  • Availability & conflicts from June 9th 2024 through August 24th 2024

Virtual Auditions

We strongly advise auditioning in-person if at all possible.

To audition virtually you will need:

  • A show resume in PDF format with your file labeled: Last Name-First Name-Show Resume
  • A headshot in PNG or JPG format with your file labeled: Last Name-First Name-Headshot
  • You may submit up to (4) four videos - Please upload your videos online prior to submitting, then share the links with us: YouTube, Google Drive, Vimeo, or privately hosted videos with open links are the most common platforms
  • In your video submissions, please include from the following as applicable to your skillset:
    • One song or two contrasting songs (within the styles of the season) One minute clips preferred
    • One or two short monologues (we produce musicals so choosing something that helps us to see you in that light is helpful)
    • Dance footage (As is best applied to this season's selection of shows, which will primarily use musical theatre an jazz styles of dance. Tap is not required this season).
  • Availability & conflicts from June 9th 2024 through August 24th 2024
